Procrastination

Share it Please

“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”   James 4:17

Are you one of those people who believes “Put off until tomorrow what you could be doing today”? This is one of those times when the fingers pointing back at me outnumber the one that’s pointing to you! What am I talking about? Procrastination.

Did you know that procrastination is a sin? I say that because sin is not merely doing wrong, it is failing to do what you ought to do. Procrastination and disobedience are just different shades of the same sin. I heard a quote once that said it well: “When you have a job to do, begin this very hour. You supply the will, God supplies the power.” That is the will power we need to instantly obey!

Has a certain task been hounding you? Confess your procrastination as sin. And act now. don’t hesitate. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow may never come. Today is the day!

When we look up to heaven for redemption and simply awaits hope in all the wrong places, where comes our last resorts? Well according to our human understanding, we decide t do what we want to do, when we want and however you want but when you have been through the fire of the Holy spirit, and passed under the baptism of water, you simply have been dead to your old mentality and born to a new one that says i have to do what i know would please my God always.

Walking in an environs where there are homeless and suffering people, you are not expected to give cause even whatever you do would be like a drop of a pin in the whole wide ocean but if you are instigated to do something from your heart not from a need for appearance, do cause it is not you anymore but the spirit in you that has caused you to feel that way. No way, the devil never cause the heart to feel love towards another, his weapon always comes with a reason why you must help and that is the destructive nature of the future Christians i see everyday of my life.

The greatest sin is disobedience and procrastination is disobedience in a hidden format cause when your heart says yes and your body says no, then the body is going against the heart or soul and there would be a rage war for a period of time and can cause neglect of the body to what the should wants per-say. If you are at war with yourself, you might think it is good for the spirit but sorry it is a self destructive mood that brings forth all sorts of solution techniques and when all have been done and none yield, it leads to more drastic measures like drugs, alcohol, tobacco, lustful sex, disregard of others and so many more.
