"Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together."
Are you glad to be here today? Yes we are glad that the Lord has apportioned his grace over us in faith, we will see his glory revealed in our heart.
The scriptures reminds us; "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"
The ox loves its duty but the ass is a lazy bunch. When they get together, you will get no work done, thus in relationships, the ox will be over burdened by the ass. Thus the breaking point of many union thus i don't think i love him/her any more.
When you met, were you after the packaging or the content? You are going to be spending the rest of your life with the whole and not the packaging alone.
Your marriage is your sanctuary, a place of rest and if you must enter into one, make sure you have all the odds against you settled. Let the fear of the Lord be upon the both of you, ignite the leading of the holy spirit. Know what the other will be like when they are mad and when they are joyous, understand their root and seek their source of eternal bliss.
Our first lesson today is simple, just ensure that you are not an ass plowing along with an ox, cause you will weigh down your partner and it will suffocate the union. Ensure your spiritual lives are similar in same faith, most importantly in the presence of the most high.
